Oregon College Seniors: A Graduation Checklist

Graduation season is full of events and deadlines. There are so many things to remember when you’re preparing to graduate. You just spent four years studying for midterms and finals, writing papers, and doing group projects. You are about to be done. Here is a helpful graduation checklist for Oregon college seniors.

Find the date and time of your graduation

Order your cap and gown

Make sure to order your cap and gown early. You can include any special cords you earned and a diploma cover. You may be interested in a frame for your diploma too—up to you!

Order announcements if you’re using them

There are options to order traditional graduation announcements from your university. You can also use your graduation photos to create your own.

Decide on your graduation celebration plans

Are you planning to have a party to celebrate your graduation? Maybe you’re planning on doing one together with friends? Plan early so guests have time to plan to come from out of town or take time off work if needed.

Get graduation photos

Book your graduation photo session as early as possible. As graduation approaches, you’ll be busier and so will campus–with people doing graduation photos! You also want to make sure the photographer you want to use has availability for you, so contact them early.
