I was born in Eugene and have lived here my whole life. When I became a photographer, I started viewing everything differently. We are lucky to live in a beautiful state year-round. Those evergreen trees help make it so lovely to live here. There are iconic photo session locations in Eugene that work all year long depending on what you’re hoping to have in your photos. I choose locations based on lighting and time of year. It’s important to find a photographer who knows what to look for in a location. You can have beautiful photos in a nice location, but if you have the right photographer, you can also have beautiful photos in a random spot like a parking lot because they will know what to look for and how to make the lighting right for the place.
Here are the top four locations in Eugene.
Alton Baker Park is one of Eugene’s most famous parks. It is a great location for unique photo session backdrops and a fun place to go to feed the ducks.
Family photos in the spring are perfect at Hendrick’s Park—one of Eugene’s most beautiful and oldest park locations. There are so many flowers in bloom and trails to explore.
The University of Oregon campus is a beautiful location for photos year-round. The fall showcases historic buildings next to modern additions with bright colorful leaves. The spring is full of blossoms and beautiful colors amidst the brick and stone walkways. The summer gives full green trees and usually a fairly empty campus. The University of Oregon campus is perfect for graduation photo sessions to celebrate graduating from such a historic and prestigious university.
The Owen Rose Garden is a classic Eugene location for photos. The roses that bloom there are wildly beautiful and provide a lovely backdrop.
