Two big factors go into creating the perfect senior photo location. Those are time of day and the location. The time we schedule your session will drastically change the style of photos we can get because the sunlight changes and shifts so much throughout the day.
Location is another big factor in the types of images you’ll receive in your final gallery. My favorite Eugene portrait location is perfect because it has a variety of backdrops and even includes access to the river. We can get photos in tall grass and near tree-lined paths. The key to the perfect location is full of variety and this one has that! This spot is even better because it’s not very well known. I like to refer to this not-so-known place as my “secret” location and it’s fun to have a special place to offer my clients!
One of the things that sets apart an experienced photographer from a photographer that maybe just got started is knowledge of great locations. As someone who has photographed senior, family, and branding photography clients in Eugene for over a decade, I have learned which spots make for great portraits and can serve my clients with that knowledge. If you’ve been thinking about scheduling portraits but don’t know a great location, it’s okay. It is part of my job to find the best places for photo sessions. I’ll take care of the planning and location selection so you can show up and enjoy your session!
The best part of this location is how it can serve many purposes. Maybe you’re very into outdoor activities and love that about Oregon. The access to the river here is so great to show that part of your personality. Maybe you love the summer and hanging out outside in the grass. This location has many spots that are great for that too. Any location that can create the illusion of multiple locations is a winner. It saves you time and gives you a good variety of images in your gallery.
